A wheel is only as honest as its weakest point. In nearly every wheel before ours, the failure point was the spoke itself. The work-hardened bend, the threaded nipple interface forming a stress riser exactly where forces are greatest. Traditional steel spoke design has been living with compromise.
We decided to take a new approach.
MADE NOT ORDERED
The Industry Nine SYSTEM spoke is machined from a solid bar of 7075-T651 aluminum – made by hand in Asheville, North Carolina. A 25 - 30% larger cross-sectional area delivers tensile strength equal to any 14/15g double-butted steel spoke on the market. But what makes it genuinely stronger isn't what we added. It's what we removed.
NO BEND. NO NIPPLE. NO WEAK POINT.
No j-bend. No nipple. No weak points.
The thread root diameter (lowest point of the threads) is actually larger than the spoke body itself – stronger precisely where every other spoke gets smallest. It threads directly into the hubshell with integrated wrench flats at the rim.

The result is a wheel that doesn't flinch – navigating through rock and roots, compressing into high speed corners or landings, reaching for traction on the washboarded gravel – it holds the line and is instantly there for when you put down the power.
