Raised in North Carolina's foothills after his family relocated from Los Angeles when he was 4, Daniel spent much of his upbringing wondering why some things simply were. A well-, but also, poorly-intentioned political science degree and a previous phase in life spent touring with his best friends via minivan brought him to Asheville, where the opportunity to tap into his introversion spurred him to indulge in pursuits rich with flavor-whether running road and trail, riding alone for hours, learning new recipes, or watching then almost immediately re-watching The Sopranos.
